It’s a sad day for fans, with Thirty Seconds To Mars Australian tour being postponed due to unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances.
The Australian tour, which was set to kick-off next month in August, will be pushed back to March 2014. The band has sent out a message to its adoring fans, hoping that they will understand why they’ve had to push back the tour.
“It is with a heavy heart and deep regret that we must reschedule the four shows in Australia. A member of the band will be undergoing a medical procedure and the time will be used to address this”
“Please know we are absolutely devastated and hope for your understanding and patience. Our sincerest and deepest apologies. We are rescheduling for March 2014 as these are the earliest dates available. Thank you for your faith, for your support, and for standing by us no matter what. We ask you please respect our privacy through challenging times like these.”
The Frontier Touring company who organised the Australian leg of the tour has stated that all tickets that were purchased for the August shows would be valid for the new March shows.
Patrons will not have to purchase or exchange their tickets for the new shows, but they will have the opportunity to obtain a refund if they are unable to attend the rescheduled dates, by Friday the 3rd of August 2013.
Despite the sad news, fans can rejoice at the band’s new single, ‘Do Or Die’ from their fourth studio album, Love, Lust, Faith And Dreams. The single will be released on the 9th of September.
New dates for the March shows are listed below. The venue for Brisbane, originally held at the Entertainment Centre has been moved to Riverstage, but tickets will still be valid and seated tickets will now be moved to general admission standing.
