30 Seconds To Mars are heading back Down Under for a national tour in August this year!

The band will kick off their tour in Melbourne on the 10th of August before making their way to Sydney, Brisbane and finally finishing up their national tour on August 16th in Perth.

It¡¯s the band¡¯s first tour in Australia since 2010, before returning for a stint in the 2011 edition of the Soundwave Music Festival.

The 2010 global tour earned the band a place in the Guinness World Record for the longest concert tour by a rock band. Lead singer Jared Leto and his team, played 309 concert shows over a two-year period for their ¡°Into the Wild¡± Tour.

The band will be back following the release of their latest album, Love Lust Faith + Dreams, which was released on the 17th of May. Just like the release of the album, 30 Seconds To Mars launched their latest single ¡®Up in the Air¡¯, on the back of the Dragon spacecraft on SpaceX CRS-2 during a NASA space launch, as well as premiering on NASA TV.

Leto was recently in Australia for a promo tour, where he discussed his hero Kurt Cobain, severed ears (a fan had given him one), the band¡¯s problems with record labels and finally his most craziest addiction: Twitter.

¡°I don¡¯t think people knowing who you are, or having an idea of who you are, means that you¡¯re any less talented or creative,¡± Leto said during his promo.

¡°You know, there were rock stars back in the day that would¡¯ve loved to tell people what colour their nail polish was, or who they were shagging that night ¨C but they didn¡¯t have a way to do it.¡±
