Northlane have announced their Australian tour dates following an innovative marketing campaign to hype up their upcoming second album, Singularity.

The campaign involved fans going online to discover where and when the tours will be held. The group uploaded a tour poster on its Facebook¡¯s event page, with a chunk of it missing. Only once fans joined the event and spread the word, was the entire poster uncovered, revealing the dates for both overage and underage concerts.

The poster also reveals the group¡¯s supporting acts; including Canada¡¯s Structures, New York¡¯s Stray From The Path and Perth¡¯s own Statues.

The group has enjoyed recent success of late, with the release of Quantum Flux, the first single from the group¡¯s second album, debuting at number 14 on the ARIA charts.

Lead singer, Adrian Fitipaldes had to take a second to realise the group¡¯s success.

¡°I¡¯m pretty convinced that life is a dream and it¡¯s not real. It¡¯s something that I¡¯m trying to stay really humble about,¡± he said. ¡°I¡¯m trying to take it for what it¡¯s worth and not let the moment pass me by.¡±

Northlane have just finished up a national tour on the Soundwave festival, touring with the likes of Metallica, Slayer, Paramore and Garbage. The tour visited all capital cities, playing to thousands of screaming fans.

The group has plans to tour in New Zealand and Canada. Tickets for their Australian Tour go on sale on Friday April 5th.
