Rush Hour star, Chris Tucker will be making his first ever trip to Australia for his stand up tour in June.

Tucker, who has taken a break from the movie screen to focus on his stand up comedy routine, announced six all age shows in theaters and arenas which will take place in all five capital cities, as well as the Gold Coast.

The comedian rose through the ranks when at 19 years old became a regular on Def Comedy Jam. Following his breakthrough, he went on to star in several popular movies, including Friday.
However, his most notable role came when he co-starred with Jackie Chan in the Rush Hour Trilogy.

Playing the fast-talking, gun tooting to Chan¡¯s quiet, martial arts master, the two became one of the most popular police duos. As Detective James Carter, the two helped Rush Hour break box office records, with the three films earning $850 million worldwide.

He recently made his return to the big screen when he played a supporting role in the Oscar winning film, Silver Linings Playbook, alongside Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro.

It might not be end though, with rumours have circulated that he could make a return as Carter in Rush Hour 4. When asked why he took time away from movies, he said he was working on his new routine.

¡°People might not know this but I¡¯ve been busy working. I went back to stand-up about six years ago and have been touring for the last few years in the States and now we¡¯re taking it international.¡±
So it¡¯s time for Australia to enjoy our taste of Tucker madness. Tickets will be available on Friday the 5th at 9am. Frontier Touring members have access to a 24 hour pre-sale from 2pm Tuesday the 2nd of April.
